Lucy’s First Kidbox, and a 7 For All Mankind Romper

Lucy got her very own KidBox, but due to inclement weather (hello, spring rains!) we have only managed to photograph one of the amazing pieces so far!

Isn’t this romper just perfect for spring and summer? The softness is incredible, the pockets are deep, and the snaps on the shoulders are the perfect detail.

But really, once I saw the navy stripes, I knew we would be keeping this romper.

Amazon sells this romper for something like $50, but if we keep the entire kidbox, we can get it for only $16!

If something doesn’t work for us, and we send part of the box back, we still only have to pay $39, which is such a great deal!

You can read about our very first KidBox experience here. We’re definitely huge fans. If you use our KidBox referral link, you will get a $25 dollar credit towards anything you purchase out of your fist KidBox!

We’re trying something fun to break up the winter blues… subscription boxes for kids! I signed the kids up for three different subscription services, and we’ve been having so much fun trying on the various items.

Gigi was the lucky recipient of the Kid Box subscription. I’m telling you, I would love to wear pretty much everything Megan, her stylist, sent her, if only it was my size. She felt very elegant and grown up in each and every piece.

Things I adore about KidBox:

  • Seriously adorable kids clothes.
  • No stylist fees.
  • Incredibly easy return process.
  • KidBox gives to kids in need.
  • Intuitive account dashboard that is a breeze to use.
  • Bonus kid gift included in each box.
  • Bright and fun packaging.
  • Absolutely no commitment.

When the box arrived in the mail, it was addressed to her, which was pretty special! I wish I had taken pictures of the unboxing, but alas, we were way too anxious to check everything out. Let me tell you, though, it was a very fun package to open! Okay, enough with the rambling already. Wanna see some cute clothes?

The First Outfit

Piece 1: 7 For All Mankind – embellished sleeve tee | Size 5 | KidBox price – $32

Piece 2:  KENSIE – Girls Medium Wash Distressed Skinny Jean | Size 5 | KidBox price – $32

This was my very favorite outfit. The tee was so incredibly soft, and really, where have v-neck tees for kids been all my life? I love them.

The drape was just exactly right. In fact, Lucy can’t stop drooling over this top.

The fabric is just the teeniest bit sheer, but not enough to bother me. It would be so lightweight and cool for summer, and you could definitely layer a cami underneath for added coverage.

The sleeve detail is spot on.

Those jeans! The distressing was perfect, especially around the ankles.

It is possible she could have sized down, but I tend to like a little room for growth.

They almost had a bit of a jogger style fit.

Piece 3: LUCKY – Long Sleeve Peasant Top | Size 5 | KidBox price – $22

This swing top was Gigi’s favorite item in the box. It was so very soft.

The detailing is perfect.

It is a light enough weight that she could easily wear it with shorts in the summer, but she was absolutely smitten by the combination of this top and the fourth item from her box.

Piece 4: FREE PLANET – Girls Bootcut Jean With Embroidered Hem | Size 5 | KidBox price – $21

She was on to something with this outfit.

When I first saw these jeans, I didn’t think I was going to like them that much. But once she put them on, it was obvious that they were perfect for her! The cut was much better than it seemed at first glance. The moral of this story is to try everything on.

Piece 5 – U.S. POLO ASSOCIATION Girls Quilted Long Sleeve Top | Size 5/6 | KidBox price – $17

I hadn’t realized how great Gigi looks in black! We both loved the drop shoulder style and quilted detailing that gave a fresh update to an otherwise ordinary black sweatshirt.

Item 6 – LIMITED TOO Girls Dress With Cardigan Set | Size 5/6 | KidBox price – $21

The denim dress by Limited Too ran pretty big. In fact, it was much too big for her, and she didn’t want to wear it for a picture, so I didn’t push the issue. One must keep the temperamental models happy, right?

She did, however, completely love the lightweight sheer waterfall style cardigan that went over the dress. And so did I. I wanted to keep the entire dress set, just for the cardigan. It was that cute.

If you happen to be keeping track, the cost for items in the box would total $145. However, you can keep your entire KidBox for a flat $98. Every time. Because Kidbox works in partnership with the nonprofit K.I.D.S./Fashion Delivers, each time an entire box is purchased, they donate an item of clothing to a child in need.
